Five months ago I declared at The Jewish Daily Forward that I would spend 50% less time on my iPhone. A fair question would be: How much time was I spending with my beloved iPhone in the first place?
Too much, okay? I don’t have an exact number, but “too much” covers the issue here. So yes, without a beginning measurement it’s hard to know if I’ve hit the 50% “less” mark.
That said, I know that I’m spending significantly less time on my phone. I used six strategies to get more control over my phone time and therefore MY LIFE.
I hope you’ll click over to The Forward to read about my modest success in this little self-improvement experiment and how I’m managing to be less of an eyes-down person. (See the picture below of a typical scene between friends who are spending time together yet alone.) The title of the article is “Stop and Smell the . . . Boredom?” and it will be the last article in this series.
